This course offers students the opportunity to develop their practice in acrylic and oil painting.
Working from both still life setups and individual subject matter, the tutor will introduce colour mixing, palette development and traditional oil painting techniques. The course allows you to spend time working on a sustained piece over a number of weeks, giving you the space to develop your ideas and create more resolved paintings. Essential studio skills including brush care, cleaning methods and good studio practice are also covered, with individual guidance given to support each student’s experience and interests.
